Daily Devlog #2
Wassup my peoples!
Hope y'all are having a nice day, I know I ain't.
Sadly no update release for today, long story short everything went wrong.
Yesterday, before writing the first daily devlog, I deleted all the unity scenes (which are basically game maps) and left just one, so i could re-make it and then make copies of it and change them.
After like 8 hours of work, i was happy with all the new changes i made. Wrote the devlog, and i went for sleep. Today, i exported a test build of the new version and holy f****ng s**t. Turns out the scene that i left behind for making the new map was the sandbox scene. I had deleted the normal game scenes and only had a scene that had no scripts or objects to make the game work in it whatsoever. So now i had lost almost all of my project except the map and the cart model and a script here and there. There was no list of items, no win screen, no pause screen.
BUT! I actually had the bone% speedrun scene accidentally saved in another folder and lo and behold, the bone% scene still had everything. I copied everything from the bone% scene into the normal game scene and everything worked (after re-creating the win screen and the items list, which won't be the same ever again lol)
So that was at around 6 PM. After a couple hours of a power nap i returned to find-
I had left unity running for a couple hours, and unity was recording all the gameplay (that's a feature that's on by default for testing and debug reasons) and storing it in the cache.
Sleepy me then decided it would be a nice idea to close it and re-open it. Then i clicked save and exit.
